I have been in Japan for a year and a half now. When I first came to Japan, I was not yet accustomed to the Japanese language or the work environment, so the only job I could find was in a factory. There are many Vietnamese and people from other countries working in the factory. I got the job through recommendations from school and friends. I worked in the factory for a year, but I became unhappy with it. I decided to quit the factory job and started looking for a new one. When it came to finding a new job, I wanted to work in places like convenience stores or restaurants rather than factories. However, I didn’t have any friends working in convenience stores or restaurants who could introduce me to such jobs, so I had to search for them on the internet. There were many job listings available, but I didn’t know how to apply for them. After doing more research on the internet, I realized I should start by making a phone call and then inquire further. I was not confident in my Japanese language skills and didn’t have the confidence to talk to strangers, so I hesitated to make the call. I thought I couldn’t do it, but my friends gave me a lot of advice when I talked to them about it. So, I gathered my courage and made the phone call. I followed what was written on the internet, but unfortunately, it was my first time, and I was rejected. However, I continued to make more calls, and my confidence grew over time.
