I came to Japan for my studies, and after living with Japanese people for about a year and a half, I’ve come to realize that they have many good qualities. What are these qualities? The following are what I consider to be the good characteristics of the Japanese:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1.Politeness
Politeness means following proper manners. Japanese people always greet with a smile in their daily lives and at work, even when the other person is tired. They use honorifics with superiors. If someone treats me with politeness, I trust them and can talk about various things from my heart.
2.Enthusiasm for Work
When working, I often see Japanese people working very earnestly and strictly following rules. In my country, we also work hard, but sometimes we chat during work or lack a sense of responsibility. Therefore, the work efficiency is not very high. Maybe I also had such an attitude while working in Vietnam. Coming to Japan, seeing the work attitude of the Japanese, I thought it was an opportunity to learn from them and correct my bad attitudes.
3.Kindness and Gentleness
From a foreigner’s perspective, Japanese people seem very kind and gentle. They are very kind to foreigners. If they find a foreigner in trouble, Japanese people will immediately help them.
One and a half years ago, when I first came to Japan, I knew nothing about it. On the first day I came to Japan, a teacher took us new students from the school to the dormitory and said, “Please come back to school in the afternoon.” It’s about 2 kilometers from the dormitory to the school, but when returning, I got lost several times. When I was lost and in trouble, a Japanese person came to us and asked, “What’s wrong?” Knowing we were lost, that Japanese person took time off work and took us to school. I was really grateful and thought how kind they were.
Since then, my impression of Japanese people has improved. During my one and a half years living in Japan, I have received a lot of help from Japanese people. I think Japanese people are very kind.
