10 years ago, I came to Japan to pursue my dream. Are you still in Japan? Remember, 10 years ago, I couldn’t speak Japanese well and had trouble understanding patients’ conditions. How about now?
Li Yanpei, 10 years later, please take your job more seriously. As a nurse, it’s not just about administering injections or medications, but also about considering patients’ feelings. After 10 years of groundwork, do you sometimes feel that the job is dirty or that patients are troublesome? However, when patients thank you with a smile, it must be satisfying enough to erase all those years of hardship!
Because you love this job, even with complaints, I believe you are still working hard as a nurse.
How about your personal life? Did you marry someone you love? I planned to be in a relationship at 24 and marry at 27, but how about now at 34? Are you living with someone you don’t really like just for your parents? Well, knowing my personality, that’s unlikely! Always remember, life is short, and if you can live with someone you love and do a job you love, that’s the true essence of my life. Live each day with vitality, smile, have the courage, challenge various things, and enjoy your current life.
In China, there’s a saying, ‘知足常乐’ which means if you are aware of what you have, you’ll always be happy. But I don’t agree with that.
In today’s world, you have to work hard for what you want. Being content with what you have without effort is not true satisfaction.
So, even at 34, keep learning new things, dream every day, and work with a fresh mind. Finally, to my future self in 10 years, good luck!
