To The Person Who Has Taken Care of Me
Since coming to Japan, there has been someone who has taken great care of me – my senior, Myo. He is kind and gentle.
When I arrived in Japan, not knowing my way around, Myo helped me in various ways. He helped me find a part-time job, took me out to play, and I am really grateful for his help.
What I remember most is when he cooked Myanmar cuisine for me because Japanese food didn’t suit my taste. The deliciousness of that meal is unforgettable. We used to go to his house often to cook and have meals together, but recently, due to COVID-19, it’s become difficult to visit. However, we keep in touch.
Myo may not be very serious about his studies, but when it comes to cooking, he is second to none. Having worked in a restaurant, we call him the finest chef in Kobe Sumiyoshi. If you have the chance, I highly recommend trying his cooking.
It’s been a year and a half since I came to Japan. Throughout this time, I want to express my gratitude to Myo for his constant help. Thank you for encouraging me when I felt lonely in Japan. Thank you for the most delicious Myanmar cuisine. Thank you for always listening to my worries.
This year marks Myo’s third year in Japan. I envy his vast experience over these three years. I aspire to be like him.
I wish for Myo to always stay healthy. As the kind person he is, I believe he will continue to help me. I look forward to his continued support.
