Memories of Grandfather
Now, my grandfather is in a place where I can neither visit nor call. I can only meet him in my dreams. When I want to talk to him, I recall the image of my grandfather in heaven.
When I was a child, I often asked my grandmother, “What did grandfather like?” She always smiled and said, “Grandfather loved Son the most in the family. He always wanted him to be happy and smiling.” Hearing that made me very happy.
Thank you, grandfather. You always worried about me. When you passed away, I was in Japan as an exchange student. I couldn’t do anything for you. I didn’t have the chance to play or talk with you, but whenever I remember you, my heart feels warm.
It’s been one year and three months since I came to Japan. I believe I have grown since coming here. When I first arrived, it was difficult to live in Japan because my Japanese wasn’t good. But I gradually became accustomed to life in Japan thanks to my teachers at the Japanese language school who taught me a lot about Japan and Japanese. The teachers were very kind and cared for me. I am very grateful. I think it was good to come to Japan. There are both fun and lonely times, but the most important thing is to study various things by myself and make them my own experiences. I will continue to strive towards my goals in Japan. I want to learn about various things. I hope to become proficient in Japanese, find a job in Japan, and live here for a long time. Grandfather, please support me.
